If you have a Food Lion near you there is this great deal on Banquet. Banquet meals are 10 for $10 dollars. If you scan your MVP card at the MVP Savings Center you will get a coupon for $2.00 off of 10. This has printed out each time I have scanned my card this week. To make it a better deal if you buy the ones with the coupons in them it has 2 coupons that you can use next time to save even more. There is a coupon in there for $0.60 off of 6 pot pies and on for $0.40 off of 2 fruit pies. These are also on sale and you can use the kiosk coupon as well as the other 2 coupons. What I did for my second transaction I brought 6 pot pies, 2 fruit pies and 2 meals and they came to $7.00 before taxes.

Food Lion Deal Alert

Food Lion is having their big deal sale again. If you buy 10 big deal items you get $5 off your order, 20 items you get $10 off and 30 items you get $15 off. Pepsi is one of them items so they will be $.75 each. Now if you are lucky and your store has the peelie coupon on the pepsi 2 litters which is $1 off of 2. The 2 litters will end up costing you $.25 each so that means you can 30 2-litters for $7.50.

I just bought me 20 of them for $5 before tax. So I am riding a good deal high right now. Going back tomorrow to get more.

Cornstarch

I have started reading The Tightwad Gazette 2. So as I am reading it and trying some of the ideas in it I will post them here to pas them on as well as any other ideas or tips to help make your money go further for you.

Here is my first one and it has to do with cornstarch. We all know it is good in recipes but here are two other tips to use it for. The first one is use it instead of baby powder. The doctors tell you to buy a baby powder that is made with cornstarch in the first place.

This second tip I got what I was pregnant with my fourth child. I would sweat allot in my bra and it would make me itch real bad. So I asked my doctor what I could do for it since I could not go without my bra, I grew 2 cups sizes. He told me to put cornstarch in my bra. Let me tell you it helped allot and I still will do it now and she is almost 9 years old. I will also place it in others that sweat bad in the summer months.

Easy Pleasing Meatloaf

This is a great meatloaf recipe and several of the items you can be with coupons.

Easy Pleasing Meatloaf
Serves: 8
Source: Stove Top Recipes Cookbook

Ingredients:

2 pounds Ground beef
1 package (6 oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1 cup Water
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 cup Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce, divided

Instructions:

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place meat, stuffing mix, water, eggs and 1/4 cup barbecue sauce in bowl. Mix just until blended.

2. Shape into loaf in 13x9-inch baking dish.

3. Top with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake 1 hour or until done (160 degrees)

Sorry I have been missing

Sorry that I have been missing for a while. The place we were renting the owner decided to sale it and we had to move very quickly. So all of my free time has been spent finding somewhere new to go to and packing. We have moved out but we are staying with friends right now. I am hoping to have a place in the next 2 weeks. I am going to try and post a little more often once we get settle into the new place.

Well today was a long day at work. I had to work on my backroom to put out back stock today. I have not had a chance to put out any back stock this past month. I only got caught up by just a little bit still got more to do.

I found a couple of refund forms at work today. One is for a Feebreze Noticable refund. The other was for Jiffy Peanut Butter.

We got snow this past Sunday a total of about 12 inches.

Instead of losing work hours because I could not get to work because of the snow I got to make up my missed days.

I spent the day with my husband and youngest window shopping.

I reconnected with a college friend that I had not seen in over 12 years.

I got the free Kindle app for my PC and found a couple of ebooks for it on Amazon.

I hope all of you had a great holiday season. Ours was good here. I am hoping to be able to save even more this coming year. I am planning on changing up my blogging style this year as well. I would like to set up a schedule of certain things to post on the blog this year. I will have to work it out this week. So by next week I should have a schedule in place to follow.
